Jikiden Reiki with The Healing Rabbit Mark Andres

This workshop with Mark Andres provides a unique opportunity to learn levels 1 and 2 of Usui Reiki, typically taught as separate classes.

This all day workshop is a practical introduction to the Japanese healing art, Reiki. The morning focuses on Level 1 beginning with a brief history of Usui Reiki in Japan and The West. You will then receive an attunement to Reiki Level 1. The focus of Level 1 is on learning the basic hand positions for performing Reiki on yourself as well as on others. An ample amount of practice time is included. You will also receive a Level 1 workbook to facilitate your own practice.

The Level 2 class begins in the afternoon with an attunement to Reiki Level 2. This class focuses on learning the Reiki symbols. You can use these symbols to increase the power of your Reiki flow, to send Reiki healing remotely, and use it for emotional healing. An ample amount of practice time is included. This class concludes with a discussion of various practical issues concerning a Reiki practice such as legal, spiritual, and administrative. You will also receive a Level 2 workbook to facilitate your own practice and a certificate of completion.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a common form of treatment throughout the world which enhances the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is a holistic, natural, hands-on energy healing system that touches on all levels: body, mind, and spirit. Reiki helps to relieve stress, decreases or eliminates pain, increases awareness, helps you relax, increases ease of movement, helps you fall asleep more quickly, and increases your energy.

The Healing Rabbit can provide affordable Reiki treatments to those living in the central Ohio area.

What Happens in a Reiki Session?

The client begins by lying down in a prone position (on your stomach). The Reiki practitioner will place their hands on or above various places on the client's body. Typically, the practitioner will touch the client for the positions on the head, back, and legs. For the positions on the torso, it is common to place the hands above the body without actually touching. If you wish to not be touched, or to be touched, in certain locations, please let your practitioner know.

The Healing Rabbit and Reiki

The Healing Rabbit is currently an Okuden (level 2) practitioner in Jikiden Reiki and a Reiki Master Trainer (level 3) in western Usui Reiki. As such, he is qualified to provide Reiki treatments as well as teach western Usui Reiki. Mark continues to study Jikiden Reiki under Tadao Yamaguchi in Japan and western Usui Reiki under Dave Scarbrough, in Columbus.

Reiki is a spiritually based stress reduction and relaxation technique. Treatments administered are only for the purpose of helping clients relax and to relieve stress. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they prescribe substances or perform medical treatment, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment you may have.

Subconscious Clearing

Using techniques learned in Japan, Mark can employ this special Reiki technique to help clear bad habits, addictions, and subconscious blocks. Credentials: Mark is a Jikiden Reiki Practitioner certified by Tadao Yamaguchi of the Jikiden Reiki Research Institute. Mark is also a Reiki Master/Teacher in Western Usui Reiki. Seiko is a Reiki Master/Teacher in Western Usui Reiki.
